Pour la petite histoire, les Ami 6 étaient aux yeux de son designer (Flaminio Bertoni, lui-même à l'origine de la DS) l'une de ses plus grandes réussites. L'arrière en forme de 'Z' des tous premiers modèles, si controversé, était particulièrement original et osé. La face avant était aussi très originale et osée, avec des yeux en amandes.
