Rear bumper repair kit - CITROËN Xantia - Ref. Equiv. 516655

With this repair kit, the rear bump stops on the Citroën Xantia can be reliably replaced - ideal if the old bumpers have become hard or crumbly. An intact buffer noticeably protects the chassis, especially when the vehicle is in a low position. Included are buffers (yellow), ring (gray) and core (black), matched to the original mount. Installation is also possible without special tools - perfect for workshops or experienced mechanics. Installation instructions (short version): 1. unscrew the old base clockwise (not counterclockwise - risk of breaking the locking mechanism). 2. clean the base and clamp it in the vice with the base surface facing upwards. 3. press the gray ring into the groove, if necessary lever it out piece by piece with a screwdriver. 4. push in the yellow buffer and press firmly until it can barely be turned. 5 Insert the black core. Then lower the vehicle completely so that the core is fully seated. Note: The base is reused and is not part of the set. Practical tip: A drop of silicone spray on the ring and buffer makes installation much easier.
