According to Jaguar specifications, this set is compatible with the Jaguar XJS Coupe (facelift models from model year 1990 onward or with VIN (V)165791 and higher). The set consists of two core components: Jaguar JLM1785 (Security System Fitting Kit): The original installation kit, including the specific wiring harness and mounting components. Jaguar JLM1768 (Security Sounder Kit): The corresponding original alarm siren/horn, including the matching mount. CONDITION NOTE: I purchased both kits new, but they were never installed in a vehicle (classic New Old Stock / NOS condition). They have been stored in a completely dry, clean, and protected environment over the years. Since these are electronic and wiring components that I cannot test myself due to not having a vehicle, I am selling the set as a precaution to hobbyists, collectors, and restorers without a guarantee of functionality. While installation in a Cabriolet is theoretically possible, it requires a significant amount of technical effort—which is hardly worth the trouble—due to differing cable lengths and altered sensor positions (e.g., interior monitoring).
