These rear lights, particularly modern for their time, were designed for the Simca 1307/1308, which was itself a great success for the Poissy firm (Car of the Year 1976). These lights were also used on the Simca Sunbeam, as well as on the Matra Bagherra 'Série 2'. In the latter case, they were separated by a wide red reflective strip stamped 'Matra-Simca', then 'Talbot' towards the end of production.
