Original Service Manual ('Kundendienst Service'), for models W121, W186, W198 (300, 300 Automatic, 300 SL, 300 Roadster, 190 SL) Multilingual: German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian Years: 1951 to 1963 Number of pages: 95 Format: approx. 15 x 10 cm Virtually blank, with the exception of pages 13, 14, 15, which contain a few annotations in English, including a stamp from the garage that performed the maintenance (in the USA, Monterey, California); as well as a few used mileage labels (usually stuck in the door jam). Reproductions of this service manual are easy to find, but finding the original version is quite a feat! Appreciate the sleek design, very characteristic of the 50s. The stamp on this manual is particularly unusual, as it refers to one of the first Mercedes dealerships on the West Coast of the USA, in Monterey (south of San Francisco), which opened its doors in 1957, the year production of the majestic Mercedes 300SL 'Gullwing' ended. The dealership still exists, in a virtually unchanged style. It remains to be seen in which pocket this beautiful manual was found, and why it finally ended up on the other side of the Atlantic... ;).

Appréciez le design épuré, très caractéristique des années 50. Le tampon apposé sur ce manuel est d'ailleurs particulièrement inédit, puisqu'il concerne l'une des premières concessions Mercedes de la cote ouest des Etats-Unis, à Monterey (Sud de San Francisco) qui a ouvert ses portes en 1957, l'année de fin de production des majestueuses Mercedes 300SL 'Gullwing'. Cette concession existe toujours et dans un style quasi-inchangé.
