This is a 'second generation' sign, as the first signs on the R18s had a narrower font, and featured the Renault 'Vasarely' logo on the left side. Often, the 'chrome deposit' on the black plastic does not resist well with time, and most of the signs are worn. If some of them are reproduced today as new, I doubt that this is the case for the GTD versions, which are rarely kept in collections. The R18 GTDs were the 'top of the line' at the time, before the Turbo D was released. Quite expensive, they were however very well equipped as standard (electric tinted windows, central locking, etc...). Last advice: remember to add some double-sided tape before fixing it ;).

See in its original language (French) : Il s'agit ici d'un sigle de 'deuxième génération', puisque les premiers signes apposés sur les R18 avaient une police plus étroite, et arboraient sur la partie gauche le logo 'Vasarely' de Renault. Souvent, le 'dépôt de chrome' sur le plastique de couleur noir résiste assez mal avec le temps, et la plupart des sigles sont usés. Si certains sont aujourd'hui reproduits en neuf, je doute que ce soit le cas pour les versions GTD, peu conservées en collection. Les R18 GTD constituaient pourtant le 'haut du panier' à l'époque, avant la sortie de la Turbo D. Assez onéreuses, elles étaient par contre très bien équipées de série (vitres teintés électriques, condamnation centralisée, etc...). Dernier conseil: pensez à ajouter du scotch double-face avant de le fixer ;).
