Précurseur en la matière, la marque au losange proposait déjà à l'époque un tel bouton qui permettait ainsi de fermer tous les ouvrants en même temps. Même des marques allemandes prestigieuses ne proposaient pas encore cela. La chose était aussi synonyme de luxe, les systèmes de condamnation centralisée n'étant franchement pas monnaie courante, et encore moins sur des citadines, comme les R5 ou R14. Ce type de commutateur se retrouve aujourd'hui en refabrication, mais la finition et le logo sont parfois grossiers.
