See in its original language (French) : Ce type de monogramme fut proposé sur la quasi intégralité de la gamme Renault à partir du milieu des années 60 jusqu'au début des années 70. Jugé ensuite désuet, il faut peu à peu remplacé par le plastique. Il est aujourd'hui apprécié des collectionneurs. Pour la production de celui-ci, Renault a fait appel à différents fournisseurs, et on remarque parfois certaines variantes, avec deux ou trois ergots de fixation. Aussi, les arêtes sont plus ou moins arrondies (elles sont saillantes sur cette version). Quant au fournisseur BVC, il produisait également les losanges, et notamment le fameux logo 'interdit', apparu de manière éphémère sur R15/17 et R5.
