Unless I'm mistaken, this is the very first sales brochure for the Renault 9, presenting the entire range available at the time of its launch at the end of 1981. The emphasis is on comfort and equipment (including the 'Normalur' system and air conditioning, almost unheard of in this category). There was also a short-lived 'TLE' version, with the same engine as the TL and GTL, but with the luxurious finish of the TSE. The GTS version, powered by the TSE's engine, appears to have real sporting ambitions, although this is not the case (we'll have to wait for the 1.7 GTX and TXE versions, then above all the Turbo, for this to be the case).
