La Régie Renault corrigera le tir en 1962 avec l'ajout du moteur 'Sierra' des Renault 8, qui lui permettra cette fois-ci d'atteindre des performances honorables, sans compter des améliorations en terme de comportement, avec l'ajout notamment de 4 freins à disque (une première pour l'époque en France).
