Les Twingo disposent désormais d'un véritable plafonnier, mieux situé au dessus du rétroviseur intérieur, avec selon les versions un bouton de condamnation automatisé des portières. Mais avec les années, le souci est le vieillissement prématuré de ce cabochon, qui perd de sa transparence, et devient particulièrement fragile au niveau des fixations (lors de basculements éprouvés et changements d'ampoules en particulier).
