This repair manual is extremely comprehensive. This is the penultimate edition. It includes diagrams of the R18 Turbo equipped with the Fuego phase 2 dashboard. Surprisingly, it also shows the wiring required to fit additional bumper-mounted headlamps - a practice that R18 owners were quite happy to adopt in the 80's, and which was offered by the Renault boutique! What a pity that Renault never thought of adding streamlined long-range headlamps, integrated under the bumpers for the 'Type 2', in the manner of the R9 and Fuego. This would certainly have made it easier to distinguish the model from its predecessor ;-).

Il comprend d'ailleurs les schémas des R18 Turbo équipées du tableau de bord des Fuego phase 2. Chose assez étonnante, il indique également le câblage nécessaire pour l'ajout de projecteurs additionnels sur le pare-choc, chose allègrement pratiquée par les possesseurs de R18 dans les années 80, et d'ailleurs proposée par la boutique Renault ! Quel dommage d'ailleurs que Renault n'ait jamais pensé à l'ajout de projecteurs longue portées profilés, intégrés sous les pare-chocs pour la 'Type 2', à la manière des R9 et Fuego. Ceci aurait certainement permis de démarquer plus facilement le modèle de sa devancière ;-).
